I really enjoy my iPad and use it almost all day long, from checking email, surfing the net, tracking fabrics I like to designing art. My iPad goes where I go in the house, in the kitchen I use for receipes, in the studio for drawing and listening to music. I'm a huge fan, but oh so disappointed with cases and stands.

I tried a couple different ones and I felt they all missed the mark just a bit. I couldn't find one that had all the features I wanted and knew were critical to using my pad effectively.Plus - I wanted something with my art4300 So what is a girl to do - but of course design and make one. This took about 2 months of working out all the details and research.

My goal was that first it would have handles, I really didn't want to drop my iPad - I have too much information on there and I have too much fun to be without it.

Second I wanted the easel effect that is so poplur with many cases, however my experience was that many had a limited range of incline and not all really stayed in place.

I watch movies and tv episodes and wanted as much flexibility for watching.43024301The velcro strap lets me adjust the easel from almost vertical to almost flat. Incline and flat work well for typing and piano playing (one of my other life goals).

Because of the way I use my iPad I was quickly gathering accessories, such as the stylus for drawing and earbuds for listening - well I need a place to store them.

I created a generous pocket that can hold my stuff and I don't forget where I last left them.

The last feature I really, really wanted - was access to the rear camera without having to remove the iPad from the case. So based on the hinge/easel idea and much head scratching - I came up with a back hinge that folds down and exposes the camera. An unexpected benefit is that since the iPad is still attached to the case, I have a good sturdy place to put my hands and picture taking is a snap. And no more fussing to put the iPad back into a case, I just fold the hinge back up and it reattaches to the velcro.

You may notice and wonder what the metal d hooks you see on the handles. I added these to my iPad case because I was looking for a way to add a detachable strap for those times I'm doing Art Shows. This allows me to take my iPad along and feel secure. It hangs across my body and because of the beautiful artwork I get comments and it works as a demo unit.

Please if you have any questions about using this style of case, email me. If you have any ideas or suggestions for features you would like - just let me know.
